i’ve tried to keep my love for you a secret,
but to no avail.
at night when i’m asleep,
you are the last thing that tiptoes through my dreams.
in the morning when i’m awake,
you are what i look forward to the most.
and although my friends and family
don’t seem to understand this impassioned addiction,
i can’t help but like it because that means that i don’t have to share you with anyone.
you are able to satisfy something within me,
that is both starved and insatiable.
